Overview

Breathe is an iPhone and iPad app for guided breathing practice, breath-hold tracking, respiratory muscle training logs, presets, notes, and local history.

Guided Breathing

The app includes paced breathing patterns with visual guides, customizable timing, optional sound cues, and session limits. The visual guide can be shown as an orb or a path.

Breath Holds

Breath-hold records are intended for personal trend tracking. They are not clinical pulmonary tests, and they should not be treated as medical cutoffs or max-effort standards.

Respiratory Muscle Training

Respiratory muscle training requires a separate adjustable resistance breathing trainer. Inspiratory trainers load the inhale; expiratory trainers load the exhale. Some devices train only one direction, so users should match app settings to the device they actually have and follow the device instructions.

Your Data

Breathe stores session history, notes, presets, and settings locally on the device. The app does not use accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or server upload.

Backup and Restore

Users can export a database backup through the system share sheet and choose where that file goes. Users can also restore a Breathe backup file after confirmation.

Safety

Use gentle settings and stop for dizziness, chest pain, faintness, wheezing, unusual shortness of breath, panic, or strain. Never practice breath holds in water, while driving, while standing, or during any task where fainting would be dangerous. Ask a qualified clinician before using breath holds, forceful breathing, or RMT for a medical concern.

Breathe is for personal wellness practice and logging. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
